Theriyeh Koroma-Nenneh is a passionate feminist advocate and seasoned Communications Strategist with multiple years of experience across UN Agencies, INGOs, and development organisations. She currently leads communications at the Children’s Rights Innovation Fund (CRIF), where she drives efforts to influence the philanthropy sector to resource young people more flexibly, sustainably, and intentionally.

As Founder and Team Leader of Feminist United Sierra Leone and Allies, she uses her background in communications and feminist social change principles to influence gender-sensitive frameworks in Sierra Leone.

Theriyeh has successfully identified and met communication needs for organisations such as UNICEF Sierra Leone, UNFPA Sierra Leone, BRAC Sierra Leone, and BRAC Liberia, developing impactful communications strategies and campaigns to address critical social issues.

She is currently the National Coordinator for the Mass Communications Alumni, Fourah Bay College, and became the first female President of the Mass Communications Student Association (MACOSA), Fourah Bay College, in 2016.

As an industry leader, Theriyeh is committed to efforts towards advancing ethical standards within the communications landscape in Sierra Leone through policy dialogue, capacity development, and professionalisation roadmaps.

She is a fanatic cruiser bike rider and popularly goes by the name “Warrior,” both as the meaning of her name “Theriyeh” and for her unapologetic stance against systemic oppression and injustice.

She was recognised as among the 100 Most Influential Sierra Leonean Youth in 2019 for her remarkable contribution to the feminist and youth movement.
