Meet Our Founding Executives

Theriyeh Koroma-Nenneh

Theriyeh Koroma-Nenneh is a passionate feminist advocate and seasoned Communications Manager with the Children’s Rights Innovation Fund, where she drives efforts to influence the philanthropy sector to resource young people more flexibly, sustainably, and intentionally.

As Founder and Team Leader of Feminist United Sierra Leone and Allies, she champions a bold, unapologetic approach to dismantling systemic barriers to gender equality and women’s empowerment. She works closely with fellow activists, serving on influential panels and committees to advance gender-sensitive policies and programs within government and beyond.

Her expertise in strategic communications is central to her intersectional work with marginalized communities, including women, non-binary individuals, and vulnerable children. Theriyeh has successfully identified and met communication needs for leading organizations such as UNICEF Sierra Leone, UNFPA Sierra Leone, BRAC Sierra Leone, and BRAC Liberia, developing impactful strategies to address pressing social issues.

With a strong media background, she has worked across newsrooms as both a journalist and a critical social commentator, earning recognition as an influential voice shaping public discourse in Sierra Leone.
