Alpha Daramy Sesay is a seasoned, committed, and results-driven communications, advocacy, and public information expert. Popularly known as “Daramy,” he has built and maintained strong brands for new and emerging organizations in the West African sub-region and is recognized for his ability to manage and prevent organizational crises.

With over a decade of experience, he has worked with the United Nations, government institutions, the public and private sectors, and both local and international NGOs. He began his career in journalism before joining the United Nations Development Programme.

He is one of the few comprehensive communications specialists with expertise across every aspect of the field. His skills include brand development, strategic communications planning, impactful storytelling, media relations, website management, social media administration, photography, videography, graphic design, speechwriting, content creation, stakeholder engagement, event coverage, and crisis communication.

Daramy has led communications for Solidaridad West Africa and served as a social media specialist during both the Ebola epidemic and the COVID-19 pandemic. He is currently the Communications Specialist at Helen Keller Intl for Guinea, Sierra Leone, and Niger.
